Bio
I'm a British guy 
who's been living in Helsinki 
for the past few years. I have a background in biology and mathematics, and have since migrated to the software industry.
I know a little bit about a lot of different things, and I'm always interested in learning something new.
I spent a few years as a software consultant at Verifa. My work there was split into two parts,
- Consulting services in,
- CI/CD
- Automated testing
- Data science
- Development
- Leading and developing on internal projects
After time in consulting I really wanted to move into a more product-focussed role and ended up moving to a software developer position at Supermetrics. There I work on a number of customer-facing products and spend most of my time working with TypeScript, PHP and the Google Apps Script environment.
After a little more than a year of being a developer, I became a senior individual contributor, manager, and technical lead for my team. This team is responsible for some of the leading products from Supermetrics; our range of Data Studio connectors. As well as writing code I spend my time,
- Helping my team to identify and work toward their personal goals
- Interviewing for front-end, and full stack positions, and determining the hiring needs for my team
- Determining the technical strategy for my team
- Building the team's roadmap, along with our product manager
- Architecting solutions to current and upcoming technical problems
